Our Story

Rooted in Haiti.
Inspired
by people.

Bèl Mòn exists because Haitian coffee should not be hidden, overlooked, or treated like a secret only a few people get to experience.

“Coffee is not just a product. It is a bridge between heritage, ownership, culture, and economic possibility.”

Bèl Mòn was born from a simple but powerful decision: three cousins choosing to build something that could outlive us. We started this company to secure family legacy, create real job opportunities, and become more involved in the communities that raised us, shaped us, and continue to inspire us.

Our roots lead back to Haiti — a country with one of the most overlooked coffee histories in the world. Haitian coffee is rare, deeply flavorful, and difficult to find at the level of quality it deserves. That rarity is part of the story. But what makes people remember Bèl Mòn is the taste.

We are building more than a coffee brand. We are building a global Haitian coffee house with legacy at its center.

The Origin

Haiti. The
forgotten origin.

Coffee arrived in Haiti in 1715, making it one of the oldest coffee-growing nations in the Western Hemisphere. At its peak, Haiti was the world's largest coffee exporter. Today, less than 1% of specialty coffee on the global market is Haitian.

Our coffee is sourced through trusted partners who work directly with farm cooperatives in Haiti. That allows us to stay close to the source, protect the integrity of the coffee, and build relationships with people who understand the land, the harvest, and the responsibility behind every bag.

The Bèl Mòn Timeline

From a family story to a cup in your hands.

1715

Coffee arrives in Haiti

French colonizers introduce Coffea arabica to the island of Hispaniola. Within decades, Haiti becomes the world's largest coffee producer, supplying over half of Europe's consumption.

First import

Before the business was even official, the coffee was already moving. Our first direct import of Haitian single-origin arrives — the proof of concept that made everything that followed feel inevitable.

Mar 2026

Bèl Mòn officially formed

Three cousins make it official. Bel Mon Group, LLC is founded with a shared belief: that Haitian coffee deserves a seat at the global table, and that building something lasting is worth doing right.

The Team

The people behind
the mountain.

A small team with deep roots — in Haiti, in coffee, and in the communities we serve.

Our Mission

Why we do this.

We started this company to secure family legacy, create real job opportunities, and become more involved in the communities that raised us. For us, coffee is not just a product — it is a bridge between heritage, ownership, culture, and economic possibility.

Our long-term vision is to own land in Haiti, grow our own beans, support local farming communities, and build a fully integrated company rooted in Haitian excellence. From there: Bèl Mòn cafés in major cities — spaces where coffee, culture, design, music, and community come together with intention.

03

Rarity, respected

Haitian coffee should not be hidden or treated like a secret. We are here to put it on the global map it has always deserved.

04

The global house

From a family table to cafés around the world — Bèl Mòn is building a cultural home for Haitian coffee, globally.
