Sustainability
Better coffee.
Better future.
Everything we do is designed to leave the land, the farmers, and the communities we work with better than we found them.

Co-op farmers supported
680
Sourcing relationships with cooperative partners — starting with APCAB in Thiotte, Haiti.
Reinvestment goal
5%
We aim to direct 5% of every sale to our partner cooperative's education fund.
Fair-trade price goal
2.4×
Our goal is to pay farmers 2.4× the commodity price — not the floor, the ceiling.
Recyclable packaging goal
100%
We're working toward 100% recyclable or compostable packaging, with zero single-use plastic.
Our Commitments
Three pillars.
One direction.
Our sustainability framework is built around farmers, land, and community — in that order.
Fair prices.
Real partnerships.
We pay prices that reflect the true quality of the coffee — no spot market, no commodity pricing, no compromise.
Farming that
lasts forever.
Every farm we source from uses shade-growing and agroforestry practices that protect biodiversity, prevent erosion, and maintain the highland ecosystem that makes Haitian Blue unique. No clear-cutting. No synthetic fertilizers. No shortcuts.
Investment, not
extraction.
We aim to direct 5% of every sale into our partner cooperative's education fund, and we're exploring co-funding a solar-powered processing station in Thiotte as a future goal.

Our Founding Partner
APCAB
Cooperative
APCAB is a well-respected coffee cooperative in Haiti, operating in the Thiotte highlands at an elevation of 1,600 meters and supporting more than 680 grower families.
They were the first cooperative we partnered with — and the standard every future partner must meet.

Our Packaging
No plastic. No compromise.
Every element of our packaging was chosen to minimize waste without sacrificing freshness or quality.
Compostable Bags
Our coffee bags are made from compostable kraft paper with a plant-based inner lining. They'll break down within 180 days.
Freshness Without Plastic
Our one-way degassing valve is made from a non-toxic, plant-based material. Keeps your coffee fresh for 6+ months — no petroleum-based plastics.
Minimal by Design
We print with soy-based inks on unbleached materials. No foil. No laminate. No labels that need to be separated for recycling.

Our Pledge
This is what we're
committed to.
Not empty promises. Real commitments — in place or in progress — that we hold ourselves accountable to every time we source, roast, and ship a bag of coffee.
Our goal: 2.4× above commodity price, always
No exceptions once in place. Price set at the start of the season, not renegotiated at harvest.
Goal: 5% to our partner cooperative's education fund
We aim to reinvest 5% of every sale and publish totals annually once this program is in place.
Goal: 100% recyclable or compostable packaging
We're working toward this with our packaging supplier, and piloting a closed-loop bag return program.
Full lot traceability on every bag
Every QR code links directly to the harvest lot, farmer cooperative, and processing data.
Carbon-neutral shipping by 2027
Currently calculating our shipping footprint. Offset program launches Q1 2027.
Taste the difference
Every cup is a
vote for better.
